CWSP Special Workshop: Digital Literacy Across the Curriculum with Adobe

Dear Colleagues,

The Campus Writing and Speaking Program invite you to join us for a special workshop co-hosted by Adobe entitled “Digital Literacy across the North Carolina State University Curriculum with Adobe Creative Cloud” by Dr. Todd Taylor, a professor in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at UNC–Chapel Hill. This workshop will take place Thursday, April 5 from 1-3pm in Withers 331.

Dr. Taylor has been visiting campuses across the country and especially in the Carolinas to discuss the importance of digital literacy in our classes. We’re excited to have him join us and share his expertise at NC State.

The workshop will consist of about 30-60 minutes of discussion/presentation about the importance of digital literacy and how it can fit into our curriculum. The second half of the workshop will involve hands-on practice and exploration of digital literacy tools. Please bring a laptop for this hands-on portion. You don’t need any special software for this: Todd will be demonstrating software (including free software) available through an ordinary web browser (though he recommends Chrome).

Adobe will provide bagels, tea, and coffee and other goodies to attendees. Please RSVP at this link so we can get an idea of what to order.

See full attached flier and please share widely with your faculty and colleagues!
