Victoria’s Lost Pavilion VR demo and book launch

Dear friends and colleagues: on behalf of the Victoria’s Lost Pavilion Research team (including Tony Harrison, David Hill, Sharon Joffe, and Sharon Setzer), I’d like to invite you to celebrate the Victoria’s Lost Pavilion project ( — an interdisciplinary effort to virtually reconstruct Queen Victoria’s art-filled garden pavilion as an interactive three-dimensional model. We are hosting an open house on:

Tuesday, October 3rd
4:00-5:30p (brief remarks at 4:30p)
Fishbowl Forum in DH Hill Library, west wing
(glass-walled room next to Howling Cow ice cream)

Please drop by! Use a virtual reality headset to explore and manipulate a 3D model of the pavilion. Check out the team’s new book, the inaugural volume in a “Digital Nineteenth Century” series by Palgrave Macmillan. And hear more about how and why the project came together. Light refreshments will be served.
