The 12th Annual NC State University Graduate Student Research Symposium will be held in the McKimmon Center on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm. The goals of the Symposium are to showcase the outstanding quality and diversity of graduate-level research at NC State, in addition to providing students with the opportunity to practice their communication skills with those outside of their discipline.
Each Director of Graduate Programs is invited to nominate up to four graduate students (either master’s or doctoral) to represent their graduate program. Posters will be judged by faculty in the academic areas that are represented at the symposium and monetary awards for the winners in each academic area will be provided.
Further information is available at grad.ncsu.edu/research/symposium.
There is not a formal nomination form to complete. Directors of Graduate Programs should e-mail the names and e-mail addresses of their nominees to the attention of firstname.lastname@example.org by January 16, 2017. He will then contact the students you nominate with further instructions on submitting their abstracts by the February 6th deadline.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact David Shafer at the above e-mail address or at 515-4462.
I hope to see you and your students on March 22nd!
