Molly Hartzog successfully defended her dissertation! Her title is “Inventing Mosquitoes: Digital Organisms as Rhetorical Boundary Objects in Genetic Pest Management for Dengue and Malaria Control.”
Molly was a member of the first cohort of the Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) program in Genetic Engineering and Society, and her committee was especially interdisciplinary: Huiling Ding (CRDM-English), Fred Gould (Entomology), Will Kimler (History), Bill Kinsella (CRDM-Communication), and me as chair (CRDM-English).
