She successfully defended her doctoral dissertation titled: Irrational Health Beliefs and Type 2 Diabetes: Their Source, Nature, and Impact in the Hispanic Community. Johanne’s committee included Ken Zagacki, James Kiwanuka-Tondo, Huiling Ding, Teresa Thompson (the University of Dayton), and Kami Kosenko (Chair). Johanne has also been asked to present her dissertation research at the meeting of the Board of Trustees next week.
