This workshop is a hands-on session that teaches attendees how to use online and mobile apps to successfully capture, analyze, apply and store color schemes for use in infographics and visual analytics. You will learn how to apply color harmony to your own digital media and visualizations. We will cover how to effectively use online tools like ColorBrewer and Paletton’s Color Scheme Designer as well as mobile apps like Adobe Capture and Pantone Studio. We also address evaluations for color deficiencies using the Vizcheck or Coblis systems. All of these color suggestion tools are accessible online for your continued use in creating new visualizations. Please bring your laptop and mobile device (tablet and/or phone) as well as small JPEG examples of your digital media for performing color analyses during the hands-on session.
